So I have started on a new path in life. Exercising my brain by learning the common computer programs like excel and word. But the true passion I have now is flameworking. I adore playing with torches and melting glass into beads. Still working on technique, and I can't seem to keep them from developing stress cracks, but I will not get discouraged. I am having too much fun in the garage at the workbench that my husband, John, built for me for Valentine's Day. It's strange to feel so much support from him. I have never really gotten encouragement from the people that were important to me. But he is curious about every bead and looks over my shoulder as I play. Course that could be because I torched my hand within a week of starting to learn how to do this flameworking thing. But have no fear... I am all healed up. I get to go the Michigan to buy a bead annealer at the end of the month. Maybe that will be the key to stopping the stress cracks. I hope so, or I will have blown $600.00. Yeah, those things aren't cheap. I'll post pics later.
